About Me
Hi! I’m Rachel
Celebrant in somerset, devon & dorset
A little about me.
Ok, so you’d like to know a little about the person you entrust to deliver your ceremony. I would too!
So, I can tell you that I live in North East Somerset with my husband Paul and a motley collection of rescued animals. They include horses, donkeys, seven dogs (at the last count), four cats, a pond full of fish and other wildlife that lives around our gardens.
If I were to win the lottery I would buy the biggest farm I could afford and turn it completely into a sanctuary for every kind of mistreated animal that needed a caring home.
We are a family of musicians. I have played the piano and church organ for more weddings and funerals than I can remember and love to compose original songs and music along with Paul who has a knack for writing excellent words.
We also run a charity that runs courses for young musicians as we founded the National Youth Percussion Orchestra and the National Youth French Horn Ensemble.
I’m a people person. Within two minutes at a supermarket checkout I can exchange life histories with the cashier and spookily, often discover that we have a long lost relation, neighbour or friend in common. We acquired one of our dogs, a deaf border collie, from a random conversation I had with a cashier in Waitrose!
I love being a Celebrant as it brings me together with people who share their stories and trust me to interpret their wishes into a beautiful and memorable event. When you engage me to deliver your ceremony you can rest assured I will put my heart and soul into creating the event you desire.
